"it is our goal, with every single course delivered, to ensure that delegates leave with the correct knowledge, feeling confident to use it."
Established in 2014, Red Rose First Aid Training is a relatively new company which has rocketed from strength to strength.
Based in Lancashire and with a strong background in first aid at work training courses, Red Rose First Aid Training delivers courses throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
About Red Rose First Aid Training
First Aid Facts
Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 states that employers are required to provide adequate personnel, training, equipment and facilities to render. First Aid cover is essential for employees should they become injured or taken ill at work and it is vital that you have adequately trained staff for your business. We deliver both on site and community based first aid courses and training.
Up to 150,000 people a year could be given a chance to live if more people knew first aid.
Thousands of people are dying each year in situations where first aid could have made the difference. This includes nearly 900 people who choke to death, 2,500 who asphyxiate from a blocked airway and 29,000 who die from heart attacks!!*
First aid could make a dramatic difference in these situations, either through direct intervention, in the case of choking, or by recognising life-threatening signs in the event of a heart attack, and caring for someone until medical help arrives.
The startling figure is more than four times the number who die of lung cancer each year, the most common cause of death from cancer!
Startling lack of first aid knowledge
-
Nearly two-thirds (59%) wouldn’t feel confident trying to save a life
-
A quarter (24%) would do nothing and wait for an ambulance to arrive or hope that a passer-by knows first aid
-
Around a third (39%) would try and do first aid even though they are not sure what to do
-
Just over a quarter (28%) say they’d know what first aid to do – but sadly their confidence is misplaced, as the survey results show many would do the wrong thing and may even make the situation worse.
Red Rose First Aid Training is committed to ensuring everyone has the basic first aid knowledge that could save someone's life and it is our goal, with every single course delivered, to ensure that delegates leave with the correct knowledge, and feeling confident to use it.

The five common scenarios tackled in the adverts and in the free first aid guide are: Choking, heart attack, severe bleeding, an unconscious person who is breathing and one who is not breathing.
